A 1912 Rudge Multi 500cc motorcycle is entered into the Charterhouse specialist auction of veteran, vintage and classic motorcycles on 9th October at The Haynes Motor Museum.

“I have had the pleasure to see and auction many veteran motorcycles over the years but consider the Rudge Multi one of the best bikes of its time as it embodied a blend of innovative technology and practical utility.” Commented George Beale.

113 year old Rudge Multi £20,000-25,000 in the Charterhouse Auction on 9th October

At 113 years old this Rudge Multi was purchased by the previous owner in 1969, when it was dismantled and put away in boxes. The current owner bought the bike in boxes 10 years ago and undertook a meticulous three year restoration which culminated in the bike winning Best Veteran Motorcycle in the Bristol Classic MotorCycle show in 2020.

Consigned with a Vincent Rapide, Velocette KSS, a Sunbeam Model 9 and other motorcycles from a collection near Bristol, this Rudge Multi is estimated at £20,000-25,000.

Charterhouse are inviting further entries for this specialist veteran, vintage and classic motorcycle auction.
