Genuine 1969 Honda Z50A K1 Mini Trail ‘monkey’ bike. Imported into the UK from Steele’s Cycles of Engelwood, Colorado, USA in November 2012, this bike is in very good original condition, and is fully working. Note it has a replacement after-market ignition switch and key, but the original (still fully working!) switch and key is included in the sale.
It is finished in Candy Sapphire Blue (Honda code PB-3C-C) – the most popular colour for the Z50A, and the paintwork is believed to be original. It bears Frame Number Z50A-232586, and Engine Number Z50AE-222798. Its originality has been certified by the Honda Owners Club (GB), and its build details have been certified by Honda UK. See attached Vehicle Dating Certificate, and its import certificate made out by D&K Motorcycles of Liverpool. Note it has yet to be registered with DVLA for UK road use, the current owner preferring to use it on private land.
The registration number is false, but is believed to have been the number given to Paul McCartney’s bike in December1969.
