1974 Rickman CR750 Honda

Print

Estimate  £10000-£12000

Category:

Registration number BBK 211M
Frame number 41549
Engine number 1071344
Most of these machines were sold as kits to be assembled by the owner who would fit their own engine
This bike was actually completely built by the Rickman Bros and sent new to Vancouver Canada
It remained there until being returned to the UK in 1999
It features a Rickman CR chassis housing a Honda CB 750 engine, carbs and exhaust
In 2019 it was purchased by a gentleman who was employed by Rickman Bros in period and who actually was involved in building the bike when it was new
He totally rebuilt the bike and engine
The chassis was replated by the original company used by the factory
Invoices totalling  £8156 are present detailing most of the work done and parts used
It has completed less than 10 miles since the rebuild and has been kept indoors
In 2024 it was lightly recommissioned
The fuel tank has been lined to protect from modern fuel but has never been filled
The machine is virtually new so will need only very light commissioning before use
In 2022 it won CR of the year at the Rickman day at the Sammy Miller museum
It was featured in a five page centrefold article in the May 2001 issue of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics

The documents include a V5C and rebuild invoices
