Registration number RJZ 191
Frame number 3F60952H5
Engine number 5GLB309978
This is a replica of the ‘Billy Bike’ as used in the 1969 film Easy Rider and ridden by film star Dennis Hopper
The bike was built in 2000 by the late Tony Buckingham of Lucky Buck Custom Cycles
The engine used is a Harley Davidson 1340 Evolution model fitted with panhead covers
To retain originality the electric starter has been removed and a kick start fitted to the gearbox
The frame is a correct Panhead wishbone type and all other parts hand made as per the original bike
It features a Mousetrap clutch, correct wheels, fork rake, mudguards, seat and sissy bar etc
Although not 100% correct it is very close to the original and whilst one or two replicas exist in USA we are told that this is the only example in the UK
Purchased by the present owner in 2025 and last ridden in July 2026
Will need light re-commissioning
Included with the bike is a replica of the jacket and a hat worn by Dennis Hopper in the film
With V5C, old V5C, old MOT’s, 2 keys and a copy of ‘Biker’ magazine featuring an article by the builder Tony Buckingham plus other technical documents
