A very early rare Humber racing bicycle made by Humber & Co Paris under licence to Humber UK
The UK equivalent was made at the Beeston Humber factory and described as a number 7 path racing cycle
A brass label on the fork crown indicates that it was sold by dealer Rene Briet, 20 Rue de Rosny, Montreil, Paris
There is also another Rene Briet plaque dated 1904 fixed to the fork down tube
It retains all of the original equipment including pedal toe clips, cork bar grips, 1 inch pitch chain, fixed wheel drive
The Empire saddle whilst period may not be original
The chain is stamped Perrys Humber
Complete with antique rear wheel stand
