Charterhouse Auctioneers in Sherborne had a cake and coffee day at their salerooms on Wednesday 19th September.
“We were raising funds for MacMillan Cancer Support and combined the coffee and cake with a view day for our September collector’s auction.” Commented Charterhouse Office Manager and keen cake baker Patricia Donovan. “Several of the staff brought cakes on the day with most of them getting up at 6 o’clock to get baking!”
Not unsurprisingly there were few cakes left by the end of the day, as local residents, business professionals and people looking around the salerooms tucked in to the vast array of cakes with £665.00 being raised for MacMillan Cancer Support.
