Classic & Vintage Motorcycle Auction 12th March 2026

Live at the Haynes International Motor Museum, BA22 7LH, and online

The following lots are currently consigned to our March Auction, but many can also be bought immediately in our private treaty sale here

Knight of the Road

A 1955 Vincent Black Knight is one of the star lots in the Charterhouse auction of classic & vintage motorcycles on Thursday 9th October at The Haynes Motor Museum.

“Made by Vincent, one of the best British motorcycle manufacturers in the 20th century, it was sadly one of their last as Vincent lost money on every Black Knight they sold and this ultimately contributed to the factory closing in 1955.” Commented George Beale.

This 70 year old Vincent Black Knight Series D is a rare high end motorcycle being just one of some 200 to be produced. Designed to keep the rider from the rain and dirt it featured a fully enclosed body.

1955 Vincent Black Prince Series D £40,000-45,000

Described by Phil Vincent as a “two-wheeled Bentley” this 998cc V twin Vincent is a rare survivor and is estimated at £40,000-45,000 at the Charterhouse auction.

Viewing for the auction, at the Haynes Motor Museum, is on Wednesday 8th October. All the lots, with live internet bidding, are available on charterhouse-auction.com
